Disability Football

Could you please circulate the below info to your SCFA members regarding a Level 1 and 2 CPD event that we are hosting, focusing on disability football but it would be suitable for anybody working with younger players and wide ranges of abilities within their groups:
Theme – Differentiation – how to differentiate between individuals within a group to be able to plan and adapt sessions to suit all individuals and the unit, especially in disability football.

Delivered by – Chris McGinn, FA Regional Coach Mentor

Date – Tuesday 9th June

Venue – Abbey Rangers FC, Addlestone Moor, Addlestone, Surrey KT15 2QH

Time – 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Cost - Free

This session will look at how to plan and adapt sessions to cater for a wide range of abilities within a group, how to challenge stronger players and help weaker players within the session without affecting the group. It will focus on skills needed to differentiate between players and how to adapt sessions to suit all and the different roles & responsibilities for individuals and units within the game.

It is aimed around coaching disabled footballers, however the session would be suitable for any coach working with younger players.

Subject: THE FA LICENCED COACHES CLUB CPD EVENT

I am pleased to exclusively invite you to a FREE coaching workshop.

The three hour workshop will be delivered by FA Regional Coach Development Manager, Chris Whalley.

The workshop will focus on the 'Transition from 9v9 to 11v11.'

The workshop will be both theory and practical based and cover ‘The Principles of the Game’. Including how coaches and players can relate to the different formats of the game and how the difference may affect player’s roles and responsibilities. The workshop will also look into tactics & strategies.

The workshop will be held at Wrotham School (TN15 7RD), 6.30pm to 9.30pm on 29 June 2015.

In order to book your place please click h and use your FAN and Password.  As the CPD Hours gained are linked to a person's individual FAN, this course will have to be booked by the coach who will be attending on the evening.

Places are booked on a first come first served basis with no exceptions, and with only 30 places available we advise booking early to avoid missing out.

Upon your booking we will email you to ask for a £15.00 deposit cheque to guarantee your place on the event, required within 7 days of booking.  This cheque will not be banked, instead will be returned to you upon attendance at the event, while non-attendees may lose their deposit.

FA Level 1 coaches are more than welcome to attend, however attending the workshop counts towards three Continue Personal Development hours for FA Level 2 and Level 3 Coaches only as part of the FA License Coaches Club.

For further information on Kent FA's Licenced Coaches Club CPD Events, please contact Lee Suter, Football Development Officer (Clubs & Leagues) on Lee.Suter@KentFA.com or 01622 792 140.
